Book Scanner in the Campus Library in Zweibrücken, Germany
The Bookeye® 4 V3 Kiosk book scanner is available to all users at The University of Kaiserslautern in the Campus Library Zweibrücken. - employees, students and the public - free of charge during the library´s opening hours. Users may choose from books, magazines and other reference material which cannot be checked out, and can scan the desired information in the maximum scanning size up to A3 +.
Using a USB stick or the Scan2Pad® app, the desired information can be scanned directly to the mobile device and saved as multipage PDF file or as a JPG. The Bookeye 4 V3 Kiosk is designed as a self-service scanner and is easy to use.
At the beginning of the 2016 summer semester, the management of the university library asked some students to write a few lines on the application of the device. The excellent evaluations received by the quite critical users were in large part due to the Bookeye´s very simple, intuitive operation:
