Image Access at CeBIT 2016: Ride the wave!Image Access, technological market leader for professional scanning systems, provides solutions for transforming analog media utilizing the possibilities and potential of the digital world.
Simple operation of a scanner is fundamental. Through the use of predefined templates, ScanWizard enables even an untrained operator to work easily and intuitively with the scanner. ScanWizard is used as a control center for WideTEK and Bookeye scanners, operated via the external touch screen or with the IP address of the scanner in any web browser. With an iPad or a tablet, users can control the scanner and send the scanned images to a mobile device via the Scan2Pad app.
The entire WideTEK® product line will be available at the Image Access booth for visitors who would like to get a hands-on impression of the products. In addition to the largest model, the WideTEK 48, the "smaller" large format scanners will also be available in Hannover. Image Access produces wide format sheetfeed scanners for the highest image quality requirements using CCD technology. For less demanding requirements, Image Access offers by far the fastest CIS wide format scanners as a more inexpensive option. Both product families offer excellent scanning results in large-sized and extra long documents.
The two flatbed scanners WideTEK 12, an A3 + scanner and WideTEK 25, an A2 + flatbed scanner; further enhance the WideTEK product line.
The WideTEK 25 has become even more versatile with the optional backlight unit, enabling users to scan transparent originals such as radiographs, photo plates, stencils, sepia photographs and film. This backlight unit, actually a second cover on the scanner, can be retrofitted and easily installed, so that the user can turn on the backlight as required. Applications in the medical field include scanning negatives, radiographs, tomography and other large format documents.
Both scanners feature the 3D mode, which offers a real reproduction of surface structures with three-dimensional looking images of the highest quality. This mode is ideal for capturing details which are not visible to most scanners on the market, like braille print or textile weaves and structures.
With the Print Wizard option, all Image Access scanners, especially the WideTEK large format scanners, have the ability to communicate directly with large format plotters. Native drivers installed in the firmware enable fast large-format copying solutions without an additional PC. Templates for different printer outputs can be created and used in a simple way.
The successful book scanner product line Bookeye® 4 - from a basic A3 + model to the A1 + scanner model with motorized book cradle and automatic glass plate – will also be exhibited by Image Access in Hannover. Installations in numerous libraries around the world, in operation for decades, make Bookeye a name which is known for gentle digitization of bound, stapled and large format documents. The Bookeye 4 family provides extremely gentle book scanning with the V-shaped book cradle, ease of use with a large touchscreen, color accuracy, ideal visual bookfold correction and optimal UV and IR-free LED lighting.
